From family-friendly outdoor activities, to events that teens will appreciate to shopping and poking around in art galleries at Beaver Creek’s quaint village, there’s something to occupy nearly every interest. And if you want to explore more of the local area, don’t forget about Avon, the town located at the base of the ski resort.

Beaver Creek Outdoor Activities

Outdoor activities in Beaver Creek aren’t relegated to alpine skiing; in fact, the Nordic skiing is among the best in the world thanks to McCoy Park’s 20 miles of trail. McCoy Park, located atop the Bachelor Gulch Express Lift, sits at 10,000 feet and provides cross-country skiers with incredible views of the Gore Range mountains. Equipment rentals and trail information can be found at the Nordic Sports Center, which is located at the base of the Strawberry Park Lift.

For more winter fun, head to Beaver Creek’s snow tubing hill just below The Ranch, the ski school facilities, which is accessed via the Buckaroo Express Gondola. Consider an afternoon at Beaver Creek’s scenic ice skating rink, which is located in the main village plaza. You’ll find cozy fire pits around the rink to warm yourself up, and there’s often themed ice skating nights.
