This 10-room boutique lodge affords its guests a convenient location across the road from the Kicking Horse base area gondola. Guests can enjoy a breakfast and hot lunch during the ski season. All rooms are on the upper floor (there is no elevator). Beds are feather rest with duvets. All rooms have private bathrooms with heated floors and shower-tub enclosures. Six of the rooms also have balconies with great views of the Rocky Mountains. The main floor features a large guest area features fir-plank flooring, with over stuffed furniture in a number of sitting areas. A relaxing wood-burning rock fireplace is the centerpiece of the unit’s common area, which also features a unique split log bar area. <br><br>Vagabond Lodge does not have a liquor license which allows guests to stock the bar and help themselves creating a very social atmosphere. Rooms do not have TV’s but the lower level features a TV area along with pool table, sauna and access to the outdoor hot tub. The entry level has a secure ski area with boot dryer and tuning bench.
