Squaw Beginner Skiing

Although Squaw is renowned as an expert skier and snowboarder’s “bucket list” resort, beginner should not be discouraged from enjoying Squaw’s stellar cruisers. Surprisngly, beginners at squaw have their run of 25 percent of the resort terrain. The mid-mountain area is in fact where beginner skiers want to be. In fact, Squaw offers beginners what few resorts can, terrain access via a tram. This exhilarating cable car ride offers an incredible bird’s eye view of the entire resort.

Squaw Beginner Terrain

Beginners will want to ride the tram to High Camp. New skiers have several options between Bailey’s Beach, Links and Belmont, all of which access short, gentle runs. For longer, more progessive trails they’ll want to head up the Emigrant or East Broadway chairlift where they’ll find exceptionally groomed green runs. Oh, and did we mention High Camp has a swimming pool, skating rink and its patio serves as incredible place to relax in the sun.

Beginner children will love the Squaw Kids center located next to the Base Area, which features three surface lifts (magic carpets) and fun environment for learning to ski or snowboard.
