The runs off of the Prospect Bowl Express lift, is a prime Telluride beginner skiing zone, allowing novices to experience the whole mountain and ski on green circle runs that abut double black diamonds.

Telluride Beginner Terrain

Telluride beginner terrain at its best is located at 11,815, and is accessed via the Prospect Bowl Express chairlift. Off the chairlift hop on beginner run Galloping Goose to Madison, at the bottom of the run look up for center-stage view of the beautiful and foreboding Palmyra Peak. In fact Galloping Goose is the longest run on the mountain at 4.6 miles. Beginner skiers can take their time meandering down Galloping Goose, since it’s generally a low-traffic area. The run drops beginner skiers off in front of Big Billie’s Restaurant. In fact, nearly the entire looker’s right side of the mountain is dedicated to long, meandering beginner runs. And first time skiers will appreciate the green-circle skiing off the Chondola, with its short, easy runs.
